Brixham Does Care is a registered befriending charity founded in 1978, which attempts to combat loneliness, isolation and despair.We offer support to people of all ages and client groups in Brixham and the surrounding communities.
Our aims:
To support and be supported by the local community
To enhance quality of life, education, health and social welfare
To enhance the independence of vulnerable people
To enhance befriending support to all those in need.
Our Facilities
Our cafe is situated on the first floor of the Town Hall building and can be accessed either by stairs or a lift. Teas, coffees, other soft drinks and snacks are sold on week days from 10am - 1pm
Our office is sited next door to the cafe where staff are always happy to help you with any enquiries, queries you may be facing. We will endeavour to deal with each individual promptly although at times we are extremely busy!! At times like this we welcome you to have a drink in the cafe and catch us when we become available.
We have a Brixham Does Care Charity Shop at 18-20 Middle Street in Brixham. We are always happy to recieve items for sale in the shop but we stress that we are unable to accept any electrical goods. We can organise for our minibus to collect items from your home if it is more convenient for you. Please contact us on any of the office numbers or on the shop mobile 07783 044 939.
